Your business is leaking money. You just can’t see it yet.

Groundwork reads the invoices and statements you forward, reconciles them against your bank activity, and emails you what’s wrong every week — duplicate payments, unpaid customers, and costs nobody’s watching.

The product is this email. No dashboard to check, no software to learn — here’s how it gets made.

01The leak, measured
56%

of small businesses are currently owed money. The average unpaid balance: $17,500.

86%

of small businesses still enter invoice data by hand — which is where errors hide.

1 in 100

invoices gets paid twice. Most duplicates are never noticed, let alone recovered.

02What we find

Four ways money leaks. We watch all of them.

Every document you forward is reconciled against your actual bank activity. Anything that doesn’t line up gets flagged — with the vendor, the amount, and what to do about it.

2.1

Duplicate payments

Same vendor, same amount, days apart. One in a hundred invoices gets paid twice — we flag it before the second payment goes out.

$1,840 — caught above
2.2

Customers who haven’t paid

Invoices you sent that are 30+ days overdue with no payment on your statement. Most businesses are owed money they aren’t chasing.

30+ days overdue
2.3

Invoices with no matching payment

Bills past their due date that never hit the bank — before they turn into late fees, service cutoffs, or strained vendor relationships.

due date passed
2.4

Charges with no invoice behind them

Bank transactions with no documentation — forgotten subscriptions, ghost vendors, and supplier costs nobody’s watching.

no paper trail
03How it works

Forward an email. That’s the integration.

No software to install, no accounts to connect, no dashboard to learn. If you can forward an email, you’re set up.

Step 1

Forward your documents

Send invoices, receipts, and bank statements to your private Groundwork address. PDFs, photos of paper — whatever you have.

Step 2

We extract & reconcile

Every document is structured and matched against your actual bank activity. Anything uncertain is reviewed by a human before it reaches you.

Step 3

Read Monday’s digest

What’s flagged, how much is at risk, and exactly what to do about each item. A plain email — two minutes, no login.

04Why Groundwork

Built for operators, not accountants.

Nothing to connect

No OAuth grants, no bank logins, no accounting-system access. Forwarding an email is the entire setup — deliberately.

Specific, never vague

Every finding names the vendor, the amount, and the action. “Confirm with Acme before paying again” — not “you may want to review this.”

Checked before it’s sent

A wrong amount destroys trust, so uncertain extractions are flagged and reviewed instead of guessed. If we’re not sure, we say so.

05Questions

Asked, answered.

Anything else — support@withgroundwork.ai

Invoices you receive, invoices you send, receipts, utility bills, and bank statements. PDF or a photo of paper — if you can attach it to an email, we can read it.
No — and that’s deliberate. You shouldn’t have to hand over login credentials to your accounting system or bank to find out where money is leaking. Forwarding documents is the entire integration.
Documents are stored encrypted, and every customer’s data is isolated at the database level. Document contents never appear in logs, and your data is never used to train shared models.
Reply to the digest and tell us. Every correction is recorded and makes future extractions more accurate — the system learns your vendors and your documents over time.
Minutes. We give you a private forwarding address; you forward your first batch of documents; the first digest follows. There’s nothing to install and nobody needs training.
Early-access customers get simple flat monthly pricing, set up directly with us. If the first digest doesn’t find anything worth acting on, you don’t pay.
